Collection: Luigi Einaudi - Piedmont

Poderi Einaudi was founded by Luigi Einaudi, economist, journalist and first president of Italy after WWII.

Since 1990, the winery has been in the hands of his great-grandson Matteo Sardagna, who in turn took over the company from his mother Paola. The rule of thumb when choosing vineyards at Einaudi is that 'a great wine can only come from a great vineyard and great terroir'.

The crus San Luigi in Dogliani and Cannubi, Terlo and Bussia in Barolo appeal to everyone's imagination in this respect. Since Matteo took charge, great strides have been made in the winery.

A new cellar with proven vinification materials in a new guise such as terracotta amphorae, new vineyards in Barolo and organic cultivation of the vineyards are just a few examples. Poderi Einaudi is a dynamic winery that wants to express the characteristics of the versatile terroir in Dogliani and Barolo in both classic and modern ways.
