Elena Walch – Cuvée Kermesse Rosso 2020

Alto Adige, Italy – Merlot, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah

A powerful and characterful red cuvée from the Alps

The Cuvée Kermesse Rosso 2020 is Elena Walch's top red cuvée and a unique blend of five noble grape varieties, originating from steep vineyards around Tramin and Caldaro in South Tyrol. Each grape contributes around 20% to the blend, and together they create a wine that harmoniously combines power, elegance and mountain character.

Tasting notes
Deep ruby red in the glass. The nose is intense and complex, with aromas of ripe black cherries, violets, amarena, black tea, pepper and a hint of tobacco and cocoa. In the mouth powerful and full of structure, with firm but silky tannins, a salty undertone and a long, fresh finish.

Food pairing
Perfect with game dishes such as venison or wild boar, grilled beef, or rich mushroom stews. Also nice with mature hard cheeses.
