Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé A, Bordeaux – Merlot & Cabernet Franc

A unique vertical selection of four iconic vintages

This original wooden box contains four legendary vintages of Château Cheval Blanc, one of the most prestigious wineries in Bordeaux. Each bottle represents an exceptional vintage and shows the evolution and consistency of this renowned château.

2000 – 53% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Franc

A wine with a broad palette and impressive purity. The layered texture and sweet tannins are complemented by notes of coffee and earthy nuances. This is without a doubt one of the best Cheval Blancs since 1990 and is considered a legend in the making.

2005 – 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Franc

A deep ruby red wine with aromas of raspberries, blueberries and floral notes. The wine is full-bodied, with impressive density, precision, freshness and purity. A perfect example of the elegance and complexity that characterizes Cheval Blanc.

2010 – 54% Cabernet Franc, 46% Merlot

A majestic wine with aromas of violets, roses, cedar, tobacco, spices and blackberries. The rich, velvety tannins and the prominent density on the mid-palate and finish make this an extremely aromatic and layered wine with an incredible concentration.

2015 – 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc

A deep garnet purple wine that opens slowly with aromas of plum preserves, black cherry pie, blackberry tart and pronounced liquorice notes, with hints of clove, cinnamon stick, star anise, dried herbs of Provence and lavender, plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth.

Wine and food

These wines are excellent accompaniments to refined dishes such as roasted leg of lamb with rosemary, venison steak with blackcurrant jus, duck with cherries or mature cheeses such as Comté and Époisses.
