An iconic Premier Grand Cru Classé from an underrated top year

The Château Mouton Rothschild 2008 is a model of elegance and power, from one of the most prestigious estates in Pauillac. Despite the challenges of the growing season, a beautiful late summer brought the grapes to perfect ripeness. Made from a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot, this wine embodies Mouton's signature style: rich, complex and refined.

Tasting notes

In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby red color with purple nuances. The nose is intense and complex, with aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, violets and subtle notes of cedar and graphite. When swirled, hints of vanilla, chocolate and a touch of eucalyptus emerge. In the mouth, the wine is full and silky, with ripe tannins and a lively acidity. Flavors of dark fruit, espresso and a mineral undertone lead to a long, elegant finish.
