Domaine Faiveley – Échezeaux Grand Cru 'En Orveaux' 2019 – 0.75 Ltr.
Burgundy, France – 100% Pinot Noir
An elegant and refined Grand Cru from the Côte de Nuits
The Échezeaux Grand Cru 'En Orveaux' 2019 from Domaine Faiveley comes from a small parcel of just 0.83 hectares, perfectly located on the edge of Chambolle-Musigny. The vines, planted in 1950, 1956 and 1982, are rooted in chalky marl soils and produce wines of deep finesse, floral elegance and mineral precision. The grapes are harvested by hand, undergo a slow fermentation and mature for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new.
Tasting notes
The wine shows a bright ruby red color. The nose is complex and delicate, with aromas of ripe plums, peonies, cherries and subtle hints of orange peel, cedar and spices. In the mouth refined and silky, with a velvety structure, fresh acidity and a long, harmonious finish.
Food pairing
Perfect with truffle risotto, roasted venison, pheasant or mature Burgundy cheeses such as Époisses and Reblochon.
