Domaine Faiveley – Échezeaux Grand Cru 'En Orveaux' 2019 - 3 OWC – 0.75 Ltr.
Burgundy, France – 100% Pinot Noir
An elegant and refined Grand Cru from the Côte de Nuits
The Échezeaux Grand Cru 'En Orveaux' 2019 from Domaine Faiveley comes from a 0.83 hectare vineyard with a southern exposure, located near Chambolle-Musigny. The vines, planted in 1950, 1956 and 1982, grow on chalky marl soils that provide a wine with finesse and complexity. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a slow fermentation with gentle extraction. Maturation takes place for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new.
Tasting notes In the glass, the wine presents itself with a bright ruby red color. The bouquet opens with aromas of plums and berries, complemented by hints of orange peel, sweet earth tones, peonies and spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with lively acidity and a precise finish.
