The Barbaresco 2007 from Gaja is a masterpiece from a warm and generous vintage. This wine combines power and finesse and comes from 14 carefully selected vineyards in Barbaresco and Treiso. The magnum format offers a slower maturation process, resulting in extra complexity and elegance.

Tasting notes
Intense ruby ​​red with garnet reflections. On the nose a rich and seductive bouquet of ripe cherries, dried roses, vanilla and a hint of smoke. On the palate full and silky with notes of dark berries, licorice, graphite and a subtle spiciness. The wine has a lively acidity and a long, harmonious finish.

Food pairing
Excellent with roasted venison, truffle pasta or mature cheeses such as Castelmagno.

Vinification & Maturation
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by 12 months maturation in French barriques and a further 12 months in large oak barrels.

Serving advice
