CLIMATE & TERROIR: Mediterranean climate. The grapes come from the legendary vineyards of La Morra and Serralunga. The soil is a calcareous sandy soil with traces of magnesium and manganese.

VINIFICATION: The grapes from the different vineyards are harvested separately, fermented in stainless steel vats and aged for 12 months in wooden barrels. Blending then takes place, followed by another 18 months of maturation in large foeders.

GRAPES: nebbiolo

ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14.00%

SMELL & TASTE: This Barolo has aromas of red berries, cassis, tobacco, minerals and oak smoke tones. In addition floral impressions, licorice and some spices. The taste is powerful and tannic, but refined with a long aftertaste.

SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with meat dishes or with mature hard cheeses.

FACT: The name refers to the Gromis family, from which the Gaja family bought the vineyards. The wine is made from grapes from Serralunga and La Morra, and since the 2016 harvest also from the Broglio sub-area.
