Poderi Luigi Einaudi – Barolo Terlo, Bussia, Cannubi – 3x0.75L OWC – 2018
Piedmont, Italy – 100% Nebbiolo
Triple expression of Barolo's iconic crus
The 2018 Barolo selection from Poderi Luigi Einaudi includes three of the most renowned crus in the Barolo region: Terlo (Vigna Costa Grimaldi), Bussia and Cannubi. Each of these wines represents the unique character of its origin, but together they show the impressive depth, elegance and complexity that characterizes the Einaudi house. The wines are vinified separately, matured in large wooden barrels and then bottled separately, each with its own signature.
Tasting notes
The Terlo presents an aroma of mint, sage and cinchona bark, followed by a mouthfeel that is full and spicy with a long, linear structure. The Bussia shows itself balsamic with aromas of raspberry, white pepper and pomegranate, firm in structure and with a long, consistent finish. The Cannubi is velvety and intense, with aromas of red fruits, spices and a characteristic tarry touch. All three wines are elegant, well-balanced and show a long, mineral finish.
Food pairing
Ideal with ossobuco, risotto with mushrooms or truffle, stewed game and mature cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Castelmagno.
