Iconic cru from the heart of Barolo
The Barolo Cannubi 2018 from Poderi Luigi Einaudi comes from the historic Cannubi vineyard, located at an altitude of 220 metres in the heart of the Barolo region. The vineyard is characterised by grey-white Sant'Agata Marne, rich in sand, which contributes to the elegance and finesse of the wine. The 2018 vintage was characterised by a long, rainy winter and a temperate summer, resulting in a slow and even ripening of the grapes. These conditions have resulted in a Barolo of great class, with an impressive structure and a long life.
Tasting notes
The wine has a brilliant garnet red color with light amber reflections. In the nose aromas of ripe red berries, rose petals, spices and a hint of tar. In the mouth the wine is full and robust, with silky tannins and a nice tension. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of goudron and spices.
