A debut of exceptional finesse and elegance
The Barolo Monvigliero 2018 marks the first vintage of this cru within the Poderi Luigi Einaudi range, launched in honour of the winery’s 125th anniversary. Sourced from a 1.5-hectare vineyard in Verduno, at an altitude of 400 metres, where 40-year-old Nebbiolo vines are deeply rooted in calcareous and chalky soils. This wine embodies the pure expression of terroir and craftsmanship.
Tasting notes
In the glass, the wine presents itself with an intense garnet red color with ruby reflections. The nose reveals aromas of roses, red berries, fresh plums, tobacco and a hint of spiciness. On the palate, the wine is fresh and juicy, with firm tannins and a long, powerful finish. The wine shows a remarkable complexity and elegance, with silky tannins that provide a sense of finesse.
